Congressman Sorensen serves on the following House Committees, Leadership positions, and Caucuses in the 118th Congress.
These assignments place Sorensen in the best position to advocate for Central and Northwestern Illinois, where he is focused on creating jobs, keeping communities safe, and making life more affordable for working families.
Committees
Committee on Agriculture: oversees policies and federal agencies relating to U.S. agriculture, forestry, nutrition, rural development, and will oversee passage of the 2023 Farm Bill.

Committee on Armed Services: oversees policies and funding for the Department of Defense, the U.S. Armed Forces and portions of the Department of Energy. Each year, it is tasked with drafting the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which lays out the annual budget of the Department of Defense
