Sorensen Leads House in Moment of Silence to Remember Victims of the Rockford Stabbing Spree

April 10, 2024

WASHINGTON, DC - Congressman Eric Sorensen (IL-17) along with members of the Illinois House delegation led the House of Representatives in a moment of silence to remember the victims of the Rockford stabbing spree.

“Together, we grieve for the loss of our loved ones,” Sorensen said. “As a native Rockfordian, I have faith we will not let this tragedy define us. As we work to make sense of what happened, we must continue to tell the story of who we are and what we stand for. Today we lead with love, compassion, and kindness. And as neighbors, we weather every awful storm, looking for the sunlight that tells us it’s over.”
