Sorensen Statement on the Abundant Life Christian School Shooting in Madison, Wisconsin

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Eric Sorensen (IL-17) released the following statement on the Abundant Life Christian School shooting in Madison, Wisconsin.  

“I am horrified at yet another senseless mass shooting, this time at a Christian school in Madison, Wisconsin. I am thankful that law enforcement provided immediate response and care to those wounded, but sadly there were fatalities.” said Sorensen. “This, on the last week before Christmas break. Hug your kids. Pray for a solution to this American gun violence epidemic. And may peace find those who are hurting today.” 

Congressman Eric Sorensen serves on the House Committee on Agriculture and the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology. Prior to serving in Congress, Sorensen was a local meteorologist in Rockford and the Quad Cities for nearly 20 years. His district includes Illinois’ Quad Cities, Rockford, Peoria, and Bloomington-Normal.
