Sorensen Statement on Death of Young Passenger Following Emergency Landing in Peoria

PEORIA, IL – Congressman Eric Sorensen (IL-17) released the below statement following the death of a young airline passenger after an emergency landing at General Wayne A. Downing Peoria International Airport.

“I am deeply saddened to hear about the 8-year-old girl who passed away after a plane had to make an emergency landing today at Peoria International Airport. As we work to learn more about this tragedy, I encourage all of my neighbors to keep the girl’s family, friends, and loved ones in their hearts during a shocking time. I want to thank the first responders who acted so quickly to try and save her life. May her memory be a blessing.”
