Sorensen Announces Funding for Rockford Law Enforcement to Reduce Violent Crime

On Wednesday, October 25, 2023, Congressman Eric Sorensen (IL-17) and the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) announced nearly $400,000 in federal funding for programs to reduce violent crime.

Sorensen said in a statement: “I’m proud to stand with the Department of Justice to announce critical funding for local law enforcement to reduce crime in our communities and better serve Illinois families. I will always be an advocate at the federal level to provide law enforcement agencies in Central and Northwestern Illinois the resources they need to do their jobs, especially as they are continually tasked with doing so much on tight budgets.”
