Sorensen Demands Action from Kia and Hyundai Over Vehicle Thefts

On Thursday, November 16, 2023, Congressman Eric Sorensen (IL-17) issued a letter to CEOs of Kia and Hyundai demanding answers related to car thefts caused by security flaws in the automakers' vehicles.

Due to manufacturing errors, certain Kia and Hyundai car models are susceptible to being stolen. The rise in thefts of these cars has especially hurt honest consumers and local law enforcement, who are working tirelessly to keep up with criminals targeting these models.
