"Received a confusing letter from SSA regarding our son’s disability. Rep. Sorensen’s office answered quickly and arranged for a rep from SSA to call and explain the situation."
"I was in need of my Dd214 to be updated to obtain my VA benefits. Congressman Sorensen and his staff went above and beyond to get the issues resolved."
"I was injured at work and as a federal employee our workers compensation is done through the Department of Labor. After surgery I was off work for a little over 7 weeks. After 5 weeks and no paycheck I contacted Eric Sorensen's office and they were aware of an ongoing problem with the lag at the Department of Labor. His staff was very sympathetic and 1 day after a congressional inquiry was made I received notice that I would be receiving payment. I'm very grateful for the help."
"My wife, Connie, and I were visiting our son and his family in Ashdod, Israel. The purpose of our visit was to meet our new two-month-old grandson and our three-year-old granddaughter. We arrived October 4th and, on the 7th, Hamas attacked. As the war intensified, it was apparent that we needed to leave. Almost all flights leaving Israel were booked or canceled. Not knowing what to do, we had a friend send us contact information for Sorensen's office. Congressman Sorensen’s staff were very helpful in navigating the paperwork needed to secure our flight out of Israel."
“My issue started when I applied for EAD card through the USCIS. I waited for almost 3 months for the card in question to arrive my destination. My colleagues at school whom I applied before them had gotten theirs. I became so worried, so I decided to call the USCIS and only then did I discover the error in my house address. Everything about the address was correct except that my apartment number which was #201 was written 20 by whom I don’t know. I applied for a change of address and was assured this time that my card would arrive.
“On June 2, 2023, my daughter’s dog pulled my passport off the counter and damaged it. I went to the post office the next day and filled out all forms for a new passport and expedited all mailings and the passport process in every way possible. I contacted Congressman Eric Sorensen’s office June 8. All of his aides returned all my emails and phone calls immediately and worked hard to help me get my new passport for our trip to Ireland July 11. There has been a lot of coverage in the news of many people waiting for passports and the shortage of workers.
“I had sent my passport for renewal in February 2023, in anticipation of a cruise vacation in mid-May. By May 5, I still had not received it, so my wife contacted Rep. Sorensen’s office for guidance and help. The people at the office that she spoke to were very helpful and knowledgeable. She was asked to complete an online form, and they would help her track it down. If they couldn’t find it, they would then help us get an appointment in Chicago to expedite the passport. The next business day, May 8, we received an email stating that the passport had been processed and mailed.
“Eric Sorensen's office went above and beyond to help me receive my passport in time for my trip. They were very clear they couldn't make any promises, but they made it happen. Every question I had, email, phone call was always return within hours. I'm forever grateful to his office and received my passport in time to have my 30th wedding anniversary trip of a lifetime. Thank you so much.”
