Congressman Eric Sorensen has invited local veteran Leo “Doc” Kaalberg as his guest for the President’s State of the Union Address to Congress on Thursday, March 7.

Kaalberg of Moline served as a combat medic in the 1^st Infantry Division, completing four tours and earning the Purple Heart twice.

Congressman Eric Sorensen (IL-17) is launching his second annual Congressional Art Competition for high school students in Illinois’ 17^thCongressional District. The winning artwork will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year.
