Galesburg, IL - Agricultural operations in Illinois have been significantly impacted by recent tornadoes, high winds and flooding.  The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has technical and financial assistance available to help farmers and livestock producers recover from these adverse weather events.  Impacted producers should contact their local USDA Service Center to report losses and learn more about program options available to assist in their recovery from crop, land, infrastructure, and livestock losses and damages.

Following Sorensen’s Advocacy, McLean County Receives Funding to Extend Historic Route 66 Trail

PEORIA, IL – Congressman Eric Sorensen (IL-17) is announcing $675,000 in U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) funding for McLean County to plan and design the final nine miles of the Historic Route 66 Bike and Pedestrian Trail in the northern part of the county.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. House of Representatives unanimously passed Congressman Eric Sorensen’s (IL-17) bipartisan All-American Flag Act, which will require the federal government to only purchase flags that are entirely produced and manufactured in the United States. The bill now goes to the president’s desk to be signed into law.
